Repairs:

Our repair services for guitar, woodwinds, and brass instruments are performed by our staff of professional repair personal. We offer an option to get the estimated cost of the repair before we even send it out to be fixed! Also, our trained staff has the ability to fix some minor problems that do not require any special tools right in the store! Below are some helpful facts about our repair service.

How do I get an estimate for my repair?
Simply bring your instrument into the store and we will call our specialist for your instrument and give you a call back in about a days time.

How expensive is it to fix my instrument?
Our pricing is very fair and never overpriced. The cost of the repair depends on the problem with the instrument.

How long does a repair take if sent out to the repair shop?
It takes approximately a week. Each specialist has a designated day of the week to pick up the broken instruments and drop off the new ones.

What is a minor repair that can be done in the store?
The are many small repairs we can perform in the store. Just a few for example are changing strings, tuning, and reed replacement.

Bruno Brothers Music North offers a consignment policy for used instruments. Just bring in any of your used equipment ( amps, lighting, stands, and other electronics too!) and we will sell it for you. All you have to do is bring it in, name your price, and that day it goes on the floor for other customers to purchase. Heres how it works:

Anything sold under 500$ we get 20% of the price it sold for.

Anything sold over 500$ we get 25% of the price it sold for.

The day we sell it, we call you and you can come get your money at anytime!

Rentals:
Here at Bruno Brothers Music North we have a rental program for band instruments. All of the instruments come in many sizes so whether your 6 or 60 we have the right size for you!  This program is great for, but not limited to, students who are taking up an instrument for their school band. The company that we rent through is called CIC.They are very reliable, professional, and keep all the rental instruments in very good condition.

The best part about renting with us is that you have TWO options. You can choose to rent until you own the instrument OR return it at anytime! Below are some helpful facts about our rental service!

How do go about renting an instrument?
Just come into the store and we will measure you for what size instrument you need, get all the paper work completed and send you home with your new instrument that day! If we are out of that particular instrument when you sign up, not to worry, we can get the correct one in just a few days!

I am a beginner, do I need lessons?
Although there is no rule stating that you must take lessons, we HIGHLY advise that you begin taking lessons. This will insure that you are learning how to play it correctly and lessons will help you excel at your instrument a lot faster then trying to learn it all on your own. Please visit our lesson page for more details!

How old do I have to be to rent?
To rent the instrument you must be 18, however, for children under 18, a parent may rent it for their child.

How old do I have to be to play?
Music is for everyone. Anyone can begin when they are 8 or 80. Although we do not put a restriction on age, most children begin playing instruments in the 4th grade. This is because their attention span is now long enough to pay attention and learn longer and their muscles are more developed and ready to play an instrument. Starting sooner is okay but most elementary school bands do not start allowing kids to join until the 4th or 5th grade.
